DevSecNexus is a virtual Capture the Flag challenge powered by Checkmarx, designed for developers and security practitioners to gain hands-on experience in building and securing Al-driven applications with Checkmarx One.
This challenge is designed for developers, DevOps engineers, and security professionals looking to sharpen their secure coding skills in an Al-driven development environment.
This is a live, 3-hour virtual challenge where you will tackle multiple AppSec scenarios within a set time. Points are awarded for correct answers, with scoring based on both speed and accuracy. Incorrect submissions may result in penalties.
No. Whether you are new to AppSec or already experienced, the challenge is designed to help you learn, apply, and build secure coding skills at your own level.
You will just need:
- A laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection
- A modern web browser (e.g. Chrome)
- A corporate email address for registration and access
- Your registered account (we’ll provide access details upon confirmation)
No additional setup is required — everything will be provided for you.
You will use Checkmarx One to identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities as you work through the challenge.
Participants are ranked by total score, based on both accuracy and speed. The highest scorers on the leaderboard win.
Beyond the prizes, you will gain hands-on AppSec experience, practical skills in securing AI-driven applications, and real-world challenge exposure. Winners will also receive LinkedIn badges to showcase their achievement.
